Our aim is to further the fitness and health of your horses by providing the best possible facilities and care.
Spelling Facilities
Shipton Lodge has recently upgraded the spelling facilities available, and now offers spacious and safe Elite Yards for its clients.
These yards are fully post and rail, electrified and have individual stables to each. Horses can be safely rugged while housed in these yards, and can be boxed at need in their own stable.
The quiet and peaceful surroundings at Shipton are conducive to horses relaxing and letting down after a preparation, and ensure that they return to work well rested and in good condition.
Paddock agistment is also available in good-sized river-flats paddocks, with separate paddocks for weanlings, yearlings, spellers and broodmares.
Training and Pre-Training Facilities
Our fully operational racetrack consists of four concentric tracks which have been developed for the education and exercises of racehorses. These tracks are maintained on a daily basis, and include an inside loam trotting track, a sand track for slow work, a turf track, and the outside track has a Visco Ride synthetic surface, providing safe surfaces for pace work and galloping.
The tracks have been designed to minimise the risk of accident and injury, and a tunnel reduces the danger of crossings on the tracks. Irrigation and drainage systems have been of major importance in the construction, and enable horses to be exercised regardless of weather conditions.

Our Feeds
- are regularly analysed for nutritional content
- only high quality grains & supplements are used
- all horses are fed lucerne hay ad lib
A Weekly Report is generated to inform you on the progress of your horse.
